A Basque mountain, it is the highest mountain in the Basque country, with an altitude of 905 meters. It lies on the Spanish and French borders.

La Rhune is a tourist destination thanks to its little train which, since 1924, has offered a 360° panoramic view of the Basque Country Landes and the Atlantic Ocean, between land and ocean.

Here, the cultural and natural heritage is exceptional, and is rated 3 * in the Michelin Green Guide.

35-minute ascent at 9 km/h in the heart of the wilderness, discover the Pottoks, small Basque ponies living in total freedom, sheep, and griffon vultures, emblematic birds of prey of the Pyrenean range.

The minimum stopping time at the summit is 35 minutes, but visitors are free to choose their return train.
