Discover the Biarritz aquarium during your camping holiday
Right in the heart of Biarritz, facing the Virgin Rock, discover the aquarium, one of the region’s most emblematic institutions.
Founded in the 1880s by the Marquis Alexandre Guillaume Léopold de Folin, the Biarritz aquarium was a pioneer in its field, offering the public privileged access to explore the depths of the Bay of Biscay.
Today, the aquarium houses an impressive collection of almost 530 species in some 40 aquariums. Observe the sharks, meet the turtles or discover the fascinating mangrove swamps during an entertaining afternoon.
Dive into the waters of the Bay of Biscay or explore theIndo-Pacific Ocean, where you can admire the majestic ballet of jellyfish.
By purchasing your admission ticket, you contribute to the preservation of marine species. The Biarritz Aquarium is actively involved in saving seals and sea turtles, providing them with attentive care before releasing them back into their natural habitat.
