Discover Castle Abbadia
during your camping holiday

Perched on a rocky cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Château d’Abbadia offers spectacular views of the Basque coast and surrounding mountains. Its imposing silhouette, with turrets, battlements and gargoyles, evokes the imagery of fairy tales.

Inside, visitors can admire a rich décor, blending neo-Gothic style with oriental influences, reflecting the travels and eclectic interests of its owner. The rooms are adorned with carved woodwork, colorful stained glass, tapestries and period furniture, offering a glimpse of 19th-century aristocratic life.

The estate surrounding the château is also remarkable, with its landscaped gardens, winding paths and lush vegetation. Visitors can stroll through the gardens and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere while admiring the striking ocean views.

  • January 30 – March 25: Tuesday to Sunday, 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
  • March 26 – March 31: Tuesday to Sunday: 11am to 6pm.
  • April 1 – June 30: (closed May 1) Monday to Friday: 10:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 18:00. Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • July 1 – August 31: Monday to Sunday: 9:30 am – 7:00 pm.
  • September 1 – November 3: Monday to Friday: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • November 4 – December 22 (closed December 24 and 25) Tuesday to Sunday, 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
  • December 26 – January 5 (closed December 30 and 31 and January 1ᵉʳ) Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
  • Full price: €11.90
  • Children’s rate (6 to 13 years): €5.90
  • Large family rate (2 adults + 2/3 children): €32

Two free parking lots within a 10-minute walk.
Appropriate road signage. Whenever possible, use P1 and P2.

The nearby Rue d’Armatonde is free from mid-September to mid-June; however, it is particularly steep. Parking P1, Ascoubia, offers 120 FREE spaces.
PRM parking: possibility of entering Abbadia, two PRM spaces in front of the reception pavilion.
