A small beach at the end of a rocky cove, sheltered from the wind and waves. Very popular with families with young children. The water is generally calm and offers excellent swimming conditions. On the quayside of the fishermen’s port, you’ll find several small restaurants serving fresh fish. We recommend the “Chez Albert” restaurant, where you can enjoy a meal on the terrace, based exclusively on wild fish from the Saint-Jean-de-Luz fish auction.
Biarritz lighthouse
It stands on top of the Ponte Saint-Martin cliff, which seems to jut out into the sea. The site is a natural boundary between the sandy shores of the Landes and the rocky shores of the Basque Country. Standing 44 m high, the Tour blanche is located just south of the mouth of the Adour, marking its proximity to the Port of Bayonne. It dominates the town of Biarritz.
